The 2026 CFLL Baseball and Softball Hit-A-Thon will be held at HTES on May 6th at the Horseshoe Trails Baseball Fields
Why are we raising money for the league? Doesn’t the registration cover it all?
The Hit-A-Thon raises a significant portion of the annual budget of the league. These donations have a HUGE impact on the league & help pay for things such as field maintenance & upgrades, equipment, concession stand supplies & maintenance, player development, & much more. Per Little League bylaws, we are only allowed one player fundraiser per year, so the league is heavily dependent on everyone’s involvement. As noted above, our goal is 100% participation & $100 per player. However, any amount raised will be greatly appreciated. CFLL is completely ran by volunteers & funded by our families & community, so we are counting on everyone's help to maintain our high-quality league & facilities.
How does the Hit-A-Thon work?
The Hit-A-Thon is very similar to a walk-a-thon. Each player solicits sponsors who pledge to make a tax-deductible donation to CFLL. The amount of the pledge can be based on the total distance each player attains.
Each player gets 10 swings & points are assigned based on where the ball stops (not total distance). Higher total score wins!

Should I provide a flat donation or a pledge?
There are 2 options; flat donation or $/point amount. We highly recommend the flat donation.
How can people pay?
To make collecting payments as easy as possible, CFLL has developed a robust website (99pledges.com) for secure payments. This limits the time you would need to go back and collect funds from supporters.
Do the players actually enjoy the Hit-A-Thon?
This is a highlight of the baseball season. Kids enjoy hitting for distance, earning prizes, seeing who hits home runs, and the break it provides during the season.
What is our goal?
The more players who participate, the better for CFLL—and the more fun we all have. Our goal for 2026 is to raise $100 per player, which would equal more than $40,000.
How do I get the word out to raise more money easily?
The pledge site allows you to personalize your requests with pictures, videos, connections to Facebook, and emails sent to friends and family. You can also track player, team, and CFLL progress through the fundraising goal thermometer.
How else can I help?
We will need volunteers for setup, measuring, and recording throughout the event. We will also need pitchers, catchers, and people to round up balls in the field, as well as adults to help with check-in and announcers throughout the evening.
When does my team participate?
Fundraise during the month leading up to the event, then check the schedule for when your team is set to hit on May 6th. (Schedule will be published soon.)
