Juniors Overview

In this division, players will utilize their acquired skills and natural ability to perform on the highest level stage of Little League Baseball.

Players are expected to be advanced in defensive and pitching skills and equipped offensively to perform well at the plate and around the bases. The dimensions used are the same as a full size baseball field and include a 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.

The goal for players at this level is to hone fundamental skills and perform as a cohesive unit in executing strategies at the plate and in the field while comprehending the various aspects of traditional baseball.

Typically this division is comprised of players with ages (as of August 31st) of 13 to 14 years old.

Each player must play a minimum of 6 defensive outs and at least one at bat. Games will be played with a 1 hour 45 minute time limit or to the completion of 7 innings. No inning shall start after the time limit expires. There is a 2 hour,  15 minute drop dead time for the Junior League division.

Practices and Games: Practices are scheduled to start in March and will consist of at least two practices per week. Games for this division will begin in early April and consist of two games per week unless there are make-up games. Most practices and games will be held at our Juniors Field, by Desert Arroyo Middle School on 56th Street, south of Carefree Hwy. The regular season will finish the end of May.

The players in the CFLL Junior League Division will be eligible for selection to an All Star team that will participate in a tournament against other teams within District and beyond. This All Star team will typically be announced and begin practicing in June. If your child is selected for participation on one of the teams, the season will likely extend into early July.
