CFLL Response to Arizona Interscholastic Association Guidance for Winter Sports

Earlier today, the AIA in conjunction with its Sports Medicine Advisory Committee voted to discontinue winter sports, affecting Cactus Shadows High School athletics.

Upon learning of this guidance and the impact to Cactus Shadows, the League communicated directly with Cave Creek Unified School District officials.

Because CFLL and Little League Baseball do not operate under the sanction of AIA, CCUSD has advised us that at this time, there is no impact to our ability to continue use of the District’s facilities.

Therefore, the League is moving forward with planning, registration, evaluations,and the start of our season on February 22, 2021.

The League is operating under guidelines adopted by the District to promote the safe use of the facilities. More information on this policy will be available in the coming weeks.
